Take top cover off of the radio, look at the front left corner
of the radio (when facing it), by where the tone squelch unit is,
and cut the blue wire.  Put it all back together, reset the unit,
and it seems to tx up to 160 Mhz with some loss of output power,
but it works ok.  Please remeber that transmitting out of the
ham band on ham equipment is illegal.
